01 · What each one is

BroomDesk

Software for cleaning companies on a flat monthly price: recurring scheduling, booking and price-calculator widgets for your own site, quotes and invoices with online payments, payroll, routes, a phone app for cleaners that keeps working without signal, and on the top plan an AI receptionist that texts back missed calls. Unlimited team members on every plan.

Housecall Pro

Housecall Pro publishes three plans that step up sharply, from $59 to $299 a month on annual billing. What separates the tiers, and how many people can log in on each, is not on the pricing page we read.

What we verified: Six published prices, three annual and three monthly. Nothing about seats, because the page does not state it.

The prices in the left column are the annual ones. The monthly figures sit in the note beside each plan, because paying monthly costs between $20 and $40 a month more depending on the plan.

Pricing model: Three plans, each with a published annual price and a higher monthly price. The page does not state how many users a plan includes.

03 · Where the two differ

Entry price

Edge: BroomDesk
BroomDesk
Starter is $29 a month, or $290 a year.
Housecall Pro
Basic is $59 a month on annual billing, $79 a month if you pay monthly.

Better for: BroomDesk on the published entry number, by $30 a month annually or $50 monthly. What each plan contains is a separate question, and not one this page answers.

Team members

Edge: Even
BroomDesk
Unlimited on every plan, stated on our pricing page and written into the plan definitions the app bills on.
Housecall Pro
Their published page does not state seat limits or an extra user cost. We do not know, and we are not going to guess.

Better for: Neither, until you ask them. If team size drives your decision, ask that question first and get the answer in writing.

Paying month to month

Edge: BroomDesk
BroomDesk
$29, $59 and $99 a month are the headline prices. Annual billing takes two months off, and staying monthly costs nothing extra.
Housecall Pro
Monthly billing costs between $20 and $40 a month more than the annual price, depending on the plan.

Better for: BroomDesk if you want to stay month to month without paying for the privilege. If you are ready to commit for a year, compare on their annual column, which is the fair one.

What the price includes

Edge: Even
BroomDesk
Recurring scheduling with weekday sets, booking and calculator widgets, payments with card on file, payroll on four pay bases, routes, the client portal, and commercial flat billing with inspections on Business.
Housecall Pro
We verified six prices. We did not verify a feature list, so this page does not describe one.

Better for: Depends entirely on what your day looks like. If one of their higher tiers holds something we do not have, that is worth more than a $30 gap.

04 · Where Housecall Pro is the better buy

A comparison page with nothing good to say about the other product is an advertisement. Here is what Housecall Pro does better or cheaper than we do.

They publish both billing terms in full

All six numbers are on their page, annual and monthly, so you can see what the annual commitment saves before you talk to anybody. Not every vendor publishes that much.

The missing seat information could favor them

We could not verify what a seat costs on Housecall Pro, so we do not claim they charge for one. It is entirely possible their plans include more users than you expect. Ask them, and read this page as the pricing-page comparison it is.

We are new and we have nothing to show you

BroomDesk launched in 2026. There are no customers yet, so there are no reviews, no case studies and no names on this page. Wanting software other cleaning companies already run is a fair reason not to pick us.

05 · Who should choose which

Choose Housecall Pro if

  • You have seen Housecall Pro running in a business like yours and you want the same thing.
  • One of their higher tiers holds something you need that we do not have. Check their feature list against ours.

Choose BroomDesk if

  • You want the published price to be the whole price, at any team size.
  • You want to stay month to month at $29 without paying a monthly-billing premium.
  • You need cleaning-specific work: recurring weekday sets, commercial flat billing, and inspections your client can read.
06 · Everything we checked

Everything this page says about Housecall Pro comes from their pricing page on August 3, 2026. The page does not publish seat limits, so this page attributes no per-user charge to them.

  • The pricing page does not publish how many users each plan includes or what an extra user costs.

There are no customer quotes, star ratings or company logos on this page. BroomDesk has no customers yet, so there is nothing real to show, and we would rather leave the space empty than fill it with something we made up. The same rule governs every number above.

The short version

On published prices we are lower at every tier we can line up. On seats we cannot compare at all, because their page does not say. Ask them the seat question first. For a growing team it decides more than the sticker price does.
