What BroomDesk actually does

Six areas, one login, one bill. Every line below describes something you can open and use today. The last section lists the things that are not built, so you can decide before you sign up rather than after.

01 · The six areas
01

Booking widget

One script tag puts a five step booking flow on your own site. It quotes from your price list, shows openings that are really open, and drops the job on your calendar.

  • Four widget types: booking, price calculator, lead form, reviews
  • Ten minute slot hold while the visitor finishes
  • Domain allowlist on every request behind the widget
02

Scheduling and dispatch

Mon, Wed and Fri is one recurring job, not three. Move one visit without touching the series, pause the series when a client travels, end it when they leave.

  • Month, week, day, dispatch and list views with drag and drop
  • Overlap detection with an explicit override
  • Route optimization with drive times, and the cleaner app on the phone
03

AI receptionist

A missed call gets a text back. The assistant answers from your settings, quotes only through the pricing engine, and offers only times your calendar returned.

  • Twenty AI messages per conversation, then a person takes it
  • Typing in the thread stops the AI on the spot
  • A daily spend budget that hands off when it is used up
04

Payroll

Completed visits become pay lines. Four pay bases per person, multi cleaner splits, tips and adjustments, then approve the period and export the file.

  • Hourly, commission, flat per visit, or hourly plus commission
  • Approval locks the period so the numbers stop moving
  • Gusto CSV, generic CSV, and a print ready stub per person
05

Commercial and inspections

Weekday sets for a building cleaned four nights a week, one monthly invoice that does not move with the visit count, PO numbers, and weighted inspections with photo proof.

  • Bulk approve a month of visits in one pass
  • Monthly flat billing, priced per location and per month
  • Weighted area scores, photos, and a report the client can open
06

Quotes, invoices and payments

Quotes with a public accept page, invoices from completed visits, card and bank payments through your own Stripe account, and a client portal your customers log into by email link.

  • Payments land in your Stripe account, never in ours
  • Card on file, tips, partial payments, refunds with a reason
  • QuickBooks Online and Google Calendar sync, plus a public API
02 · What it does not do

Four things a reader could reasonably expect and will not find. Each one has a real substitute or an honest gap.

A native app in the App Store or Play Store
The cleaner app is an installable web app. It works offline for today's route and queues checklist ticks, photos and clock events until the phone reconnects.
A Zapier app
The Business plan carries a public API with bearer keys and an OpenAPI spec instead. A Zapier app is not built.
Quoting from a video walkthrough
AI photo quoting accepts photos and returns a draft quote you review before it goes out. Video is not accepted.
An inspection report that mails itself every month
An inspection report goes out when you press send. There is no monthly automatic send.
